Absolutely. The extension only modifies how the website looks in your own browser. It doesn't send your data to any external servers by default, and it doesn't change any data on the actual ClassCharts servers.
By default, all your settings are stored locally on your device in plain text. If you choose to enable the optional "Cross-Device Sync" feature, your settings and customisations are synced to a private database (stored as plain text) so you can use them on other computers.
Currently, the extension is built for Chromium-based desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc.). Some mobile browsers like Kiwi Browser support Chrome extensions and may work, but we officially support desktop only.
No. The extension runs entirely on the "client-side" (your computer). Teachers see the same ClassCharts portal they always have; only your personal view is upgraded.
